"Do you like Liu Qing?" Standing in the elevator, Cynthia broke the silence.
"Yes!" Elesa nodded without trying to hide it. After a pause, she added, "But don't doubt Liu Qing. I tried to seduce him, but he never touched me. You were the only one on his mind!"
Cynthia did not know whether to feel happy or hurt. She was glad Liu Qing had restrained himself, but upset that he attracted so much trouble. After a moment of silence, she asked hesitantly, "Does he like you?"
"I..." Elesa did not know how to answer. She thought he probably did, but Liu Qing had never expressed it.
"Forget it. I shouldn't have asked. Only he knows what's in his heart!" Cynthia glanced at Liu Qing, who was still fast asleep, and felt a pang in her chest. From the way he treated Elesa, she could tell he had feelings for her. Cynthia shook her head slightly, pushing those thoughts aside, then looked at Elesa again. "I'm going to marry Liu Qing. Nothing will change that!"
"I know!" Elesa nodded quietly.
"Then why won't you let go? You have so much going for you. Why fixate on him?" Cynthia asked, bewildered.
"What about you? You have even more going for you than I do. Why are you fixated on him? As far as I know, Riley Stone is seven years older than you, but your families could still form a marriage alliance, couldn't they?" Elesa countered, then said bitterly, "Everyone has their own tastes. Some people like Champion Lance, some like Champion Steven, some like the Venerable Wallace, and some like Riley, the Aura Guardian. The one I like is Liu Qing!"
"You two have no future together!" Cynthia stressed.
"I'm not asking for forever. I only want a little time
