"Next up is the second match of round two: Mr. Han Ye from Johto against Mr. Youxing from Unova. Will both contestants please take the field!" Once the field had been cleared, Zhuguang's voice rang out across it.
"Everyone, I'm off!" Han Ye put away his smile, his expression turning solemn as he walked toward the field. After just two steps, however, he suddenly turned back and looked at Liu Qing and the others in surprise. "Come on, shouldn't you at least cheer me on?"
"Go, Han Ye! Go, Han Ye!" Liu Qing, Xiao Xiao, and the others exchanged glances, then called out together.
"I... you guys are something else!" Han Ye didn't know whether to laugh or cry. They might as well not have cheered at all.
"This will be a two-on-two battle. Each contestant must use the two Pokémon from their registered team of three that did not participate in this morning's match. Switching Pokémon is permitted. The match will end when both Pokémon on one side are unable to battle!" After Han Ye and Youxing took the field, Mayor Yuantai announced the rules, then continued, "Please send out your Pokémon!"

"Oh, it's a Skuntank!" Shui Nai's face lit up with delight as she watched Han Ye send out his Pokémon.
"Heh, I'd forgotten you have a Skuntank too. This is a good chance for you to see how Han Ye uses his," Liu Qing said with a chuckle.
