"What a powerful Vine Whip strike! It completely shattered Stone Edge!" the announcer cried excitedly.
"Archen, dodge!" At Liu Qing's command, Archen beat its wings and swiftly evaded the head-on Vine Whip strike. It kept dodging the successive attacks while closing in on Tangrowth at incredible speed. Seeing this, Liu Qing gave another command. "Aerial Ace!" Archen dodged another attacking vine, white streaks of light streaming around its body as it accelerated toward Tangrowth, gradually pulling away from the two powerful Vine Whip strikes pursuing it.
"Archen is simply too fast! It broke through the layers of Vine Whip attacks to launch a powerful Aerial Ace!" the announcer immediately shouted.
"No good! They can't catch up!" Zuo Jie said through gritted teeth, immediately issuing a command. "Tangrowth, Reflect!"
At Zuo Jie's command, Tangrowth's eyes flashed, and a transparent shield of light instantly formed in front of it. Archen's Aerial Ace arrived at that very moment. Despite Reflect's protection, the force that passed through sent Tangrowth sliding backward some distance before it steadied itself. Archen pulled away after that single strike and swiftly soared high into the air.
"Tangrowth used Reflect, weakening Aerial Ace!" the announcer immediately shouted.
"Even though Aerial Ace's power was cut in half, judging by Tangrowth's condition, that hit still did quite a bit of damage!" Brock remarked as he watched the visibly weary Tangrowth.
"Come back, Tangrowth!" Watching Archen fly swiftly away, Zuo Jie gritted his teeth and recalled Tangrowth. He then took out another Poké Ball and threw it. "Magnezone, go!" As the white light faded, Magnezone appeared in midair, rotating the three magnets around its body, and floated up to Archen's altitude.
"An aerial battle! Contestant Zuo Jie's sixth Pokémon is Magnezone!" the announcer immediately introduced it.
