When Liu Qing returned, he found that Mili and Cynthia were both gone. After asking a servant, he learned that the two women had gone shopping, while Bofeng Yu had headed to the company. Bored out of his mind, Liu Qing could only wander into the Day Care. He greeted his Pokémon along the way before reaching the place where Salamence stayed.
"Salamence, are you getting used to living here?" Of course, Liu Qing was not asking his own Salamence, but the one he had obtained from Hunter J. As for why he had not asked his own Salamence, he had no idea where it had gone.
When Hunter J's Salamence had first been teleported back, it had thought its trainer had abandoned it and spent its days listless and dejected. Fortunately, Liu Qing's Salamence had tirelessly comforted it every day and stayed by its side, gradually helping it regain its old spirits. Still, it was unfamiliar with Liu Qing and watched him warily, its gaze darting around as though searching for something.
"Roar!" A roar rang out, and Salamence's eyes suddenly lit up as it called back. Liu Qing looked up to see his Salamence flying over from afar with fruit in its mouth. A fierce gust swept over him as Salamence landed lightly, set the fruit on the ground, and nestled its head into his arms.
"You've already got a girlfriend, and you're still acting spoiled with me!" Liu Qing patted Salamence's forehead and chuckled.
At that, Salamence roared twice, seemingly quite pleased with itself. The other Salamence, by contrast, seemed terribly shy and buried her head between her foreclaws.
"How cute. Salamence, take good care of her. I'm going to check on the others!" Liu Qing patted Salamence's forehead again, then turned and walked away.
