"Liu Qing, sorry to bother you!" Scott greeted him with a smile as soon as they met.
"You're still looking as prosperous as ever, Mr. Scott!" Liu Qing returned his smile. Once they had sat down, he asked, "What brings you here, Mr. Scott?"
"You're about to challenge for the title of Kanto Elite Four Champion, so I didn't want to disturb you. But after thinking it over, I decided I ought to come!" Scott smiled mysteriously, clearly trying to whet Liu Qing's curiosity.
"Mr. Scott, you're really keeping me in suspense. Disturbing my peace of mind like this-how devious of you!" Liu Qing teased.
"My apologies, my apologies!" Scott put on a humble expression before asking with a smile, "Would you mind coming out with me, Liu Qing?"
"Sure!" Liu Qing nodded, already having a rough idea of why Scott had come.
Liu Qing drove off with Scott, and less than an hour later, they entered a small town between Celadon City and Vermilion City. After another ten minutes, they left the main residential district and arrived at the seaside edge of town, where a towering building stood. They stopped the car in front of it.
Liu Qing looked up at the imposing triangular building before him. A long flight of stairs led upward, with lifelike stone statues of Salamence and Latios standing midway along it, lending the structure a magnificent grandeur. "Is this my battle facility?" he asked.
"Yes!" Scott had already noticed Liu Qing's satisfied expression. He nodded and said, "This is the battle facility I designed especially for you-the Battle Sky Platform. Come up with me and have a look at the battle arena!"
