But Hu Bin noticed something was off about Vulpix. Vulpix ate an enormous breakfast that morning, with the sort of appetite that only came after grueling training. Normally, Vulpix could never eat that much!
Hu Bin watched suspiciously as Vulpix, having already finished two plates of curry rice, began wolfing down Pokéblocks. That appetite could rival the gluttonous Charizard sitting nearby!
Charizard and Altaria, who were eating Pokéblocks beside Vulpix, looked just as bewildered at the way Vulpix was gobbling everything down. Little sis, are you really that hungry? Why are you so different from yesterday?
Vulpix was oblivious to all this. All she knew was that she was incredibly hungry, and she happily demolished the food!
So delicious! The food my trainer makes is the best!
By the end of breakfast, Vulpix was stuffed. She patted her belly contentedly with her little paws, letting out adorable burps!
Watching Vulpix's astonishing appetite that morning, Hu Bin began to ponder. Something's off. Something's really off. Vulpix must be hiding something from me!
Soon afterward, Hu Jiaxing and Zhao Lifang left for work at the school, while Hu Bin carried the Pokémon Egg and headed to the village with Vulpix to begin the day's training!
Vulpix was in a wonderful mood the whole way, eagerly heading up the mountain and occasionally urging Hu Bin to walk faster. Seeing her so enthusiastic, Hu Bin shook his head with a smile.
His body, however, readily complied, and he quickened his pace!
They soon reached the village, where quite a few trainers were already training. Hassman was chatting with Hala at the battle arena.
When they spotted Hu Bin, both men waved him and Vulpix over!
Hu Bin quickly walked over toward Vulpix and said with a smile, "Good morning, Grandpa Hala, Mr. Hassman!"
