Background / History

Before the world merger, Hu Bin lived an ordinary school-to-home routine as a final-year high school student. He awakens with an Alolan Vulpix sleeping on his chest and initially assumes he has crossed into another world. The Pokémon system instead explains that his world has merged with the Pokémon world, and that he alone remembers the previous reality 1.

In the merged world’s history, Hu Bin wanted a Pokémon but worried about availability and expense. His parents and uncle arranged an Alolan Vulpix egg for him. He carried the egg with him and carefully tended it until it hatched on the first day of summer vacation. The system later restores these memories, including his care for the newborn Vulpix 2 3.
