Plot points and events
- Zhu Yan explains the Nirvana Organization’s origins: after devastating Ultra Beast attacks, it formed branches worldwide to combat the creatures and close Ultra Wormholes. The organization has kept Ultra Beasts secret to prevent public panic.
- Zhu Yan mourns the many people and Pokémon who have died protecting peace. Hu Bin is moved by their sacrifice and reaffirms his commitment to the organization.
- Over a meal, Zhu Yan notices Hu Bin’s Mythical Pokémon, Zeraora, and is astonished that a relatively new Trainer has one.
- Zhu Yan proposes a two-on-two Gym battle, promising Hu Bin a Badge either way but insisting on using his strongest Pokémon. They leave their Ninetales out so they can rest for the next day’s speed race.
- Zhu Yan opens with Typhlosion; Hu Bin sends out Dragonair. Dragonair’s Aqua Blast meets Typhlosion’s Giga Impact head-on, and both Pokémon take damage. Typhlosion follows with Flare Blitz, which Dragonair dodges by taking to the air.
