With the previous Daimyo's help, the opening ceremony was carried out in proper style, with nothing that might embarrass them.
The entire ceremony went smoothly. In his speech, the previous Daimyo recounted his accomplishments during his tenure, then described how the country had changed since Tetsuya arrived in the Land of Grass, indirectly highlighting Tetsuya's achievements.
Then came the handover. Tetsuya accepted the Imperial Seal symbolizing the Daimyo's authority from his predecessor. The moment he took it, he officially became the Daimyo.

All that remained were performances by musicians and dancers, which continued until noon. At midday, Tetsuya had a grand
