Phone in hand, Tetsuya looked at the Space-Time Gate that had appeared before him and greeted Izuna, who stood on the other side, with a smile.
Izuna stepped through the Space-Time Gate and asked excitedly.
"You're planning to revive my brother now, right?"
"Uh-huh. Didn't I just tell you that over the phone? Konoha doesn't have a Signal Tower, but the reception here is decent. You should've heard me fine."
"I just wanted to make sure."
"Oh, what is there to make sure of? Did you bring what I asked for?"
Izuna nodded. The ocular power of his Rinnegan surged, opening a new Space-Time Gate. Beyond it lay gleaming mountains of gold.
This was one of the treasuries in the Daimyo's Palace in the Land of Grass, filled entirely with gold.
"It's all here. Is it enough? If not, I can get more from the Bounty Stations and those Daimyos' vaults."
Hearing that, Tobirama couldn't quite keep quiet.
"You call that getting it? That's stealing."
Izuna glanced at Tobirama.
"Oh, so there was someone else here."
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?!"
"All right, this should be about enough. Let's get started."
Tetsuya interrupted the two before they could start trading insults.
"Doggo, seeing all this money, you must be itching to get started. Stop playing coy and come out."
[Oh my, my dear master, you finally remembered me. I thought you'd forgotten all about me.]
That familiar dog's head appeared before Tetsuya again. Despite the ingratiating expression, there was still something deeply obnoxious about him.
"Enough nonsense. Let me ask you this: has all that gold I spend every month gone to the dogs?
"Oh, right. I forgot you are a dog."
