Rin opened with a Rasengan. With the aid of Flying Thunder God, the glowing sphere, larger than a person, instantly appeared beside Obito and swallowed him whole.
Yet Obito's hand emerged directly from behind the Rasengan, reaching straight for Rin's throat.

Rin quickly pulled back, avoiding Obito's attack.
Seeing his attack miss, Obito immediately formed hand seals.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
Searing flames gathered into a fireball and blasted toward Rin.
Rin completed her hand seals with one hand.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet!"

The blue water dragon collided with the orange fireball, creating a scene like a dragon playing with a pearl.
Fire met water, instantly producing vast clouds of steam that obscured their vision.
Perfect chance!
Obito used Intangibility again and slipped into the Kamui Dimension. He had been tangled up with this white-masked opponent for years.
Without revealing their trump cards, neither was likely to kill the other.
He had finally found an opportunity to kill Chiba Tetsuya and lay the groundwork for the chaos to come. He would never waste time on a fight that would go nowhere.
Space warped again, and Obito reappeared before Tetsuya.

Seeing Obito suddenly appear again, Tetsuya remained utterly calm.
Obito found Tetsuya's composure strange, but none of that mattered. Once he killed this man, all their plans could proceed smoothly.

His blade flashed out of its sheath and swept down, aimed straight at Tetsuya's throat.
"Don't even think about it!"
Rin activated Flying Thunder God and appeared beside Tetsuya, striking Obito's sword with the kunai in her hand.
Clang!
The Flying Thunder God Kunai collided with the sword, deflecting Obito's blade.
Blood spurted. The blade missed Tetsuya's throat, leaving only a cut across his neck.
"Damn it!"
Obito glared furiously.
