While the Nine-Tails was firing his Tailed Beast Bomb, the Eight-Tails had been rolling across the ground to evade the Ten-Tails' pursuit, only for one of the Ten-Tails' tails to pin down one of his tentacle tails.

The Eight-Tails shouted, still gathering tailed beast chakra in his mouth as he attempted to counterattack with a Tailed Beast Bomb.
But the Ten-Tails forcibly pinned him down with one of his arm-like tails.
That forced the chakra the Eight-Tails had gathered back down.
