A rift cut through the yellow desert. As fierce winds swept past, howls rose from the chasm, as though demons from the Abyss lurked beneath it.

In truth, however, no demons lay beneath that rift, only a buried city: the once-prosperous Rōran.

Now, though, nothing remained of Rōran but ruins.

A Golden Portal appeared atop a sand dune.

Tetsuya stepped out of it.

"Tch, who made this map app? Its coordinates are way off."

After grumbling, Tetsuya put away his phone. Looking at the rift before him, he took a step forward.

His surroundings changed in an instant.

The endless yellow sand vanished, replaced by ruins buried underground.

"So this is Rōran? These energy fluctuations are pretty intense."

Tetsuya sensed a rather impressive source of energy sealed within the ruins.

Unless there was another possibility, that unusual energy had to be the Dragon Vein from the Naruto world.

With its power, one could even travel through time and space.

He looked around. The underground ruins seemed reasonably well preserved, with no signs of damage from battle.

Walking toward the center of the ruins, Tetsuya saw a kunai embedded in the ground. With it at their center, densely packed technique formulas spread outward, forming a seal that suppressed the Dragon Vein.

"Minato's kunai."

Tetsuya approached the kunai.

He had no intention of pulling it out, however.

After all, he had no interest in the Dragon Vein's power.

Power was the last thing he lacked now.

As for returning to the past? He wasn't interested in that either.

"No one's been here. Was I overthinking it?"
