Atop Kage Rock, Kawaki and Boruto faced each other.
"Boruto, do you remember what I told you?"
Boruto looked at Kawaki and answered calmly.
"Yeah, of course I remember.
You said that as long as Momoshiki threatened Dad's life, you would personally kill Momoshiki-and me, his vessel."
"Yes. I'll personally kill anyone who threatens the Seventh.
I can feel it. I can feel the killing intent coming from Momoshiki inside you."
Boruto said nothing, because he could feel it too. Momoshiki had completely lost control inside him, radiating indiscriminate killing intent.
It was as though he wanted to wipe out everything in this world.
"Nothing to say? Then let's put an end to all this."
Kawaki took a fighting stance.
"Your existence threatens Konoha's safety. It threatens the Seventh's safety.
So even if everyone condemns me, I'll kill you to protect them!"
With that, Kawaki charged straight at Boruto.
He didn't have much time. When he left the hospital, he had intended to send Naruto and Hinata into Daikokuten before killing Boruto, so they couldn't stop him or interfere.
But after leaving the hospital, he discovered that Naruto was in a meeting at the Hokage Building, not at home.
With no other choice, he could only find Boruto as quickly as possible and kill him before anyone else arrived.
"I know how dangerous Momoshiki is, but even so, I won't just give up my life!"
Boruto answered Kawaki, formed a Rasengan in his hand, and hurled it straight at him.
Kawaki's eye flashed as he activated Daikokuten.
A black cube appeared out of thin air, blocking the incoming Rasengan.
The next instant, Kawaki attacked from the side, thrusting three Black Rods at Boruto like kunai.
Black markings appeared on Boruto's face. He activated Momoshiki's power, and a Crimson Spiral formed
