Rex stood atop the Greymane Wall, facing the wind as a gentle breeze brushed past him. His face was expressionless, but inwardly, he was far less calm.

The Undead Scourge's army in Lordaeron had been gathering for some time. All signs indicated that Arthas intended to leave Lordaeron, yet he remained in Lordaeron City, showing no sign of moving. Rex felt a faint anxiety stirring within him. As the days passed, the time he could afford to wait steadily dwindled.

The one-month deadline was drawing near, with only a little over ten days left.

Over the past few days, Rex had been searching for excuses to buy more time. In the end, it all came down to a sigh, and he gave up. If he tried to drag things out against Arthas, he would inevitably lose.

Arthas's undead army needed no food and bore no burden of supplies. What the undead could manage, humans could not.

Keeping more than a hundred thousand soldiers stationed at the Greymane Wall was too heavy a burden. If this dragged on, it could bring Gilneas to ruin.
