When Rex reached the Iron Dwarves' camp, a dense swarm of gargoyles was swooping down from the sky. Their wings beat, explosive strength lurking beneath their hideous exteriors, and they treated Rex to a gruesome display of tearing living people apart.

The gargoyles swooped down from the sky and seized Iron Dwarves in their sharp claws. As they beat their wings and rose into the air, they pulled their claws apart, ripping the dwarves' bodies in two with brute strength. Flesh flew, and blood rained down upon the ground.

This was a true, bloody hell. Rex narrowed his eyes. These gargoyles were far more than twice as powerful as those he had seen at the Greymane Wall.

At the Greymane Wall, the gargoyles had been strong enough to carry living people into the air, but they had not been able to tear them apart by sheer force.

What tremendous strength. Tearing a living person limb from limb usually required horses.

The gargoyles were even stronger than Rex had estimated, and his expression turned cold.

"I haven't even come looking for you yet, and you've already come here to die." An icy voice rang out beside Rex's ear. Its soft, sinister tone alone was enough to send a chill through anyone's heart.

"What a boastful pile of bones. Who knows where they dug you up? Where's your master?" Rex had spotted the speaker: a skeleton draped in a cloak.

Judging by his flickering flames, he bore some resemblance to a lich, but a closer examination of his aura revealed certain differences.

"Damn you," Dar'Khan cursed under his breath. The flames in the hollow sockets of his skull flickered rapidly, the only sign of his anger. With all his flesh gone, even rage could no longer show on his face.
