Inky clouds crowded the sky, blotting out the crimson that had filled it moments before. They hung so heavily that they seemed about to collapse, their oppressive weight seeming to hush the entire world. A cold, indifferent wind cut through the air. Having just stepped out of the Portal, Rex looked up at the overcast sky. This was perfect weather.

With an Undead army pursuing them, a downpour would be welcome news. Rain would not only obscure visibility and make the pursuit harder for the Undead; most importantly, it could wash away the traces they left behind.

Just as Rex was hoping for rain, a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky like a serpentine dragon, then vanished.

Rain roared between heaven and earth, falling harder and harder in streaming sheets. Rex reached out, took out a Hearthstone, and tossed it to the Frost Dwarf.

"A Hearthstone. Tear it apart, and you can instantly travel to the Eastern Kingdoms. Make arrangements for your people, then tear it apart. We'll meet in Gilneas." After signaling to Kael'thas, Rex tore his own Hearthstone apart. With danger lurking everywhere in Northrend, he had no intention of taking a ship back to the Eastern Kingdoms.
