Looking at the trees buried beneath snow and ice on either side, Rex dismounted from the Gryphon and said to the Frost Dwarf beside him, "We're here. This is Ironforge."

"What a magnificent city," the Frost Dwarf marveled as he entered Ironforge with Rex. Rex glanced at him. To Rex, that praise was hardly welcome. The Frost Dwarf had said nothing of the sort in Gilneas. Wasn't this an indirect way of saying that Gilneas City was inferior to Ironforge?

"Take me to His Majesty Kael'thas," Rex said to the Dwarf standing before him with a curious expression.

"Of course, Prince." Only after hearing Rex's words did the Dwarf withdraw his curious gaze, though he remained reluctant to look away. The Frost Dwarf's unusual appearance fascinated him. This visitor looked like a Dwarf too, and he very much wanted to know what distinguished them.

The Dwarf held some rank, perhaps that of a squad leader. With a few gestures, he ordered another Dwarf standing near the Frost Dwarf to lead the way. Completely ignoring his companion's disgruntled look, he hurried straight to the Frost Dwarf's side and began whispering with him.

Rex watched it all. Sure enough, short fellows have more to talk about with other short fellows, he thought.

Rex had not used a Hearthstone to travel to Ironforge this time. Hearthstones were essential lifesaving items, and using one when he was not pressed for time would have been extravagant. He did not have many left,
