Thank you to World on a Fingertip for the donation. Jiaoshou was deeply grateful. Busy-Rex had been very busy lately. He no longer needed to worry about the knight order or the mage corps, with the Archmage and Paladin handling them, but even so, he still had plenty to do.
Rex was busy dealing with matters in the Warcraft System. Apart from his daily sword practice and communication with Ashbringer, he spent most of his time inside the Warcraft System.
Now that he finally had some free time, Rex wanted to resolve the problems facing the Warcraft System. The last time its master-protection function had activated, the levels of its buildings had plummeted. After all his work over this period, the Goblin Merchant and Altar of Kings had both returned to level 6, while the Barracks and Arcane Sanctum had been restored over the past two days.
The Barracks was one thing, but the Arcane Sanctum was a vital facility. The members of the Archmage's mage corps would all come from there.
The Arcane Sanctum served much the same function as the Barracks: both could recruit three types of units. But unlike the Barracks' infantry, Dwarf Riflemen, and Knights, the Arcane Sanctum's three unit types were all spellcasters, making them considerably more valuable.
Having studied the Warcraft System extensively, Rex had already discovered something: the three unit-recruitment buildings-the Barracks, Arcane Sanctum, and Workshop-each corresponded to an age. The Barracks corresponded to the Town Hall age, the Arcane Sanctum to the Stronghold age, and finally, the Workshop to the Castle Age.
Ever since the Arcane Sanctum had been built, Rex had rarely recruited units from it. This was not because he disregarded the Arcane Sanctum or looked down on its spellcasters. Quite the opposite: he valued those spellcasters most of all.
