Even the seemingly ageless pines were moved by their crystalline beauty and donned layers of silvery white. The plump white snowmen on the ground stared with puzzled little eyes at the ice blossoms glittering in the sunlight on the treetops. The entire world seemed to have fallen silent.
Snowflakes as large as goose feathers drifted steadily from the sky. Rex held out his hand, gathering Holy Light in his palm. A faint golden glow appeared, and a snowflake rested intact on his hand. He studied its shape closely.
