Time slipped swiftly by, often without anyone noticing. More than a month had passed since that visit to the Industrial Base. During that time, Rex had gone there with remarkable frequency. In fact, he had made far more visits in this past month than he had in all the time since the Industrial Base was established.
That comparison alone gave a clear picture of just how often he had been going.
Naturally, Rex made so many trips to monitor the electric heater's development. Before winter arrived, they not only needed to redesign its exterior but also develop a battery pack.
The exterior redesign was the easiest part. Rex simply used his connections to hire more than a dozen High Elves through Sylvanas. He did not bother Kael'thas with this. It was a minor matter, not something important, and Kael'thas's status had changed. As the ruler of a nation, he was no longer as easy to approach with requests as he had once been.
Another reason was that Rex already owed Kael'thas a considerable favor from last time and did not want to incur another debt.
Having the Underwater Combat Armor successfully built from its blueprints had been an enormous favor.
