The larger of Azeroth's two moons had risen first that evening. Now it hung full in the night sky, illuminating the stars with its silvery light. Beneath that gentle moonlight stood the peaks of the Redridge Mountains. By day, sunlight painted those peaks with a pink halo; by night, they became towering, aloof ghosts. At the western foot of the mountains lay Elwynn Forest, covered in oaks and lindens and stretching from the hills to the sea. To the east lay the vast Black Morass, a marshy mountain region threaded with streams and rivers. Abandoned dwellings and lurking dangers were everywhere.

One day, then another.

By now, the sun had set five times.

The blade in his hand kept slashing ahead.

Rex advanced step by step through the dense, leafy forest.

He quietly gazed at the moons overhead. Azeroth's twin moons told him that another day had passed.

A dark silhouette swept across the sky. Shaped like a raven, it flew toward a spot in the heart of the forest.

He sighed. There were certainly plenty of flying monsters in the Arathi Highlands these days.

Rex still had not rested that night, because he had made a discovery earlier that day. He had found none of the humans he was searching for, but he had found traces of Trolls.

The shadow had flown toward a Troll tribe settlement he had discovered during the day. The place had been quite lively. Rex had observed it from a distance through a telescope. It lay in a valley-a circular valley.
