Chromie left. After giving Rex a few instructions, the bronze dragon departed as mysteriously as she had arrived.

Within Rex's perception, Chromie's figure simply vanished in an instant.

This was far more frightening than any stealth technique. It would be quite effective for assassination, but Rex quickly dismissed the thought, because that was impossible.

Chromie had left this point in time outright. That was why her departure seemed so mysterious to Rex, leaving no trace at all.

She was no longer here. She had truly left, so how could anyone detect her? Ordinary stealth was different. However ingenious the technique or sophisticated the methods, it all rested on one fact: the person was still there, so there would always be traces to find.
