Even as he died, the dragon had no idea why his cover had been blown.
Easy and pleasant. That was how Rex felt about this encounter.
When Rex first met this dragon, he had already made a guess about his strength from a distance. Once he got close, he confirmed that his guess had been right: the dragon possessed Hero Rank strength.
If a Heroic Powerhouse actually got the chance to fight,
then even though Rex possessed Ashbringer and had strength comparable to a Demigod, that opponent could still hold out for a while. Especially since this was no ordinary Heroic Powerhouse.
While in his disguised form, the dragon was not at his peak strength. Returning to his true form would make him stronger, so Rex could not easily gauge his actual strength.
But all that was pointless now. Rex had already slain him.
Even a Demigod could not defend against a surprise attack delivered with Rex's full strength.
Looking at the dragon's corpse, Rex quickly dealt with it, then strode toward the Arathi Tribe.
This confirmed that the information he had obtained about the Infinite Dragonflight was accurate. His next move was to work out how to kill the two remaining dragons hiding among the humans. He needed to take the initiative now, rather than keep waiting helplessly for death.
The dragons among the Trolls would be harder to deal with. As a human, Rex could not disguise himself as a Troll and infiltrate their tribes. He would leave those dragons alone for now. Once he had killed all those hiding among the humans, he would return to the future and bring the archmages and Paladins
