The Kingdom of Gilneas had now taken control of this place, and squads of soldiers stood around the perimeter of Quel'Lithien Lodge.
There were not many of them, only about a hundred.
But their heavy armor covered them from head to toe as they marched in orderly formation, patrolling outside Quel'Lithien Lodge.
The sound of hoofbeats rang out. The man at the head of the soldiers was powerfully built and carried himself with an imposing air.
Clearly the captain, he raised his weapon and shouted in a deep voice, "On guard!"
The men behind him immediately sprang into action. Gripping their weapons tightly and holding them level, they swiftly moved behind the barricades.
The sound alone had told them that cavalry was approaching.
Standing out in the open against cavalry was asking to die. These men were not that foolish.
"Stand down." Once the captain saw who was approaching, his tense expression relaxed.
The newcomers were high elves. He immediately stepped out from behind the barricades and strode forward.
The high elves pulled on their reins and stopped. The woman at their head nimbly dismounted and asked, "Has your Highness arrived?"

The woman nodded without another word and walked into Quel'Lithien Lodge.
