I got dragged off drinking yesterday, starting at noon, and felt awful all day. Sorry about yesterday. I'll post more today-ten thousand words in total. Chapters are now two thousand words rather than three thousand, so there will be five updates today.

A sacred glow radiated from it, driving back the surrounding darkness.

It shone brilliantly, its holy light rising in pillars. Like a beacon in the darkness, it illuminated its surroundings.
Light's Hope Chapel had been designed to give it this distinctive quality.
At night, it became a beacon radiating dazzling light.
For that reason, nighttime was the best time to visit Light's Hope Chapel. Wherever visitors went, they could bask in its holy light.
Of course, "Holy light" was merely a description here.
It was not the true Holy Light.
Still, fully illuminating Light's Hope Chapel like a beacon naturally consumed considerable resources.
Ordinarily, this was only done during certain festivals.
Now, however, Light's Hope Chapel was illuminated this way every day, naturally as a precaution against the undead.
Tonight, Light's Hope Chapel welcomed two guests.
