A barren, desolate region devoid of any sign of life.

Red-brown earth stretched everywhere, dry and cracked, hard beneath his feet. Although Khadgar had prepared himself well in advance, he still felt a little uncomfortable.

It had been more than a year since he returned to Azeroth, his beautiful homeland.

He had grown used to the softness of the soil, to walking across lush lawns in summer and basking in sunlight that warmed his whole body, rather than the vicious glare here that threatened to dry up every drop of moisture inside him.

"What a wretched place," he muttered, quickening his steps.

He did not want to linger in a place so hot it could bake a man dry.

The Alliance Expedition's camp was quite large, with tents stretching one after another, neatly arranged at regular intervals.

Infantrymen clad in silver-white armor patrolled the camp constantly, weapons in hand and footsteps in unison.

Khadgar himself had already passed three patrols.

"The Marshal is inside."

"Esteemed Archmage Khadgar, please come in." A man had been waiting outside the tent for some time, looking around and repeatedly peering into the distance. When Khadgar appeared, he brightened with delight, stepped forward, bowed, and gestured for him to enter.

Khadgar nodded and walked toward the tent.

As Khadgar approached, a guard standing beside the entrance stepped aside and reached out to lift the flap. Once Khadgar had entered, the guard let it fall.

A rush of cool air greeted Khadgar as he stepped inside, instantly refreshing him.

The cool tent felt wonderfully comfortable, and he could not help saying, "Your Highness Rex, whom I hold in such esteem, you certainly know how to enjoy yourself."
