Since Rex had already found a suspicious target, he naturally had no intention of letting him off.
The suspicions surrounding Fandral Staghelm were enough for Rex to make trouble for him.
As far as Rex was concerned, whether the trouble on this trip to the Emerald Dream had anything to do with Archdruid Fandral Staghelm or not, the man was suspicious enough. That alone was sufficient.
Fandral Staghelm was no saint to begin with, even if he had nothing to do with the black mist or the other problems.
Rex would not feel the slightest guilt about pinning the blame on him.
This trip into the Emerald Dream had given Rex plenty of grief. Fandral Staghelm had undoubtedly become the target on whom he would vent his frustration.

He would settle everything concerning Outland before visiting the Night Elves, then finally return to Gilneas.
Rex was not the least bit worried about going to Orgrimmar, the Orcs' capital. After all, he was not the Leader of the Alliance. As long as the Horde did not want an all-out war with the Alliance, his safety would not be an issue.
In particular, Rex trusted his own strength. With the Archmage's Portal as well, he could leave immediately if anything went wrong.
But when Rex revealed his intention to go to Orgrimmar, everyone opposed it. Even the Archmage disagreed.
Although the Archmage would stop objecting if Rex insisted, Rex did not do so. The Archmage was his subordinate, depended on the Warcraft System for his existence, and obeyed him unconditionally, but he was no longer the mindless, vegetative figure
