One monthly vote meant one extra chapter. As for recommendation votes, I would wait and see. Jiaoshou was afraid that setting the target too low would mean more extra chapters than he could manage, while setting it too high would put it beyond everyone's reach. How would that be any different from saying nothing?
The meeting with Thrall went pleasantly enough for both sides. Rex did not interrogate him or resort to heavy-handed measures.
The supplies had already been plundered, and Rex had no intention of getting them back. The Horde desperately needed them, and they represented a considerable amount to it. To the Alliance, however, they were entirely dispensable. The wealthy Alliance hardly cared about such a small quantity of goods. Rex did not need Thrall to compensate him either. He intended to use the incident to secure Thrall's support elsewhere.
For instance, Rex intended to move against the Naga in Coilfang Reservoir, and that required the Horde's cooperation.
Using this incident to secure military assistance from the Horde would be enough for Rex.
