The Broken were hideous. To Rex, the Broken who appeared before him looked little different from an undead abomination.
Their skin had grown loose, their limbs had withered, and tumor-like growths had begun to sprout across their bodies.
No wonder the Draenei found it impossible to accept these mutated former brethren. The Broken were simply too ugly, utterly at odds with mainstream Draenei standards of beauty. How could they accept them? It was much the same with the members of the Alliance. Every ally they chose was humanoid, whether Night Elves, High Elves, or even Dwarves and Gnomes. They all looked much like humans.
The Orcs' Horde, on the other hand, had started seeking out beasts. They were either Quilboar or Tauren, with nothing in common with humans except that they walked upright.
That was exactly what the saying meant: birds of a feather flock together.
In Rex's opinion, if these Broken had looked a little better-not necessarily like Draenei, but at least more like humans-they would surely have been accepted much more easily.
