They had been driven out of Alterac City and forced to settle in Durnholde Keep. The ogres' overwhelming strength had left them with no hope of revenge.
There had been so much they could do nothing about. Faced with the ogres' immense strength, they had scarcely had any choice at all.
But now, they had finally turned the tables. The ogres who had once stood above them in arrogant supremacy had been brought crashing down into the dust. Their positions had changed.

The once-dominant ogres now fled their pursuit like beaten dogs, constantly being hunted down. Although the fighting in Alterac City had not yet ended, it might as well have. The outcome was settled, and all that remained was some street fighting. That, however, was precisely what the Syndicate excelled at.
After all, the Syndicate was hopeless in a head-on battle. But when it came to flanking attacks and ambushes, no one could match them. They were an organization of rogues, after all.
Direct combat was not the Syndicate's strength. Street fighting was what they knew best. Thus, although Alterac City had not yet been completely taken, securing it was merely a matter of time.
