If the ogres of the Blade's Edge Mountains made a move, the first thing Rex would think of was diverting the trouble elsewhere, pushing it onto someone else so he could wash his hands of it.

Who would not want to dump a problem on someone else and successfully distance themselves from it? Rex was not the only one who would think that way. Others would, too.

So, when faced with the ogres gathering in great numbers in the Blade's Edge Mountains, possibly preparing to attack the surrounding regions, Rex's first priority was to prevent them from attacking Zangarmarsh.

The regions bordering the Blade's Edge Mountains were Zangarmarsh and Hellfire Peninsula. Hellfire Peninsula only touched its fringes, and the two shared very little border. An attack on Hellfire Peninsula was exceedingly unlikely-one might even say impossible. Attacks on Zangarmarsh and Netherstorm, on the other hand, were far more likely.

And when comparing Netherstorm with Zangarmarsh, no matter how Rex looked at it, he always came away with the feeling that the ogres would attack Zangarmarsh.

Rex had no concrete intelligence to support that judgment. It was simply the thought that had naturally arisen in his mind upon hearing of the ogres' movements. Yet he was utterly certain of it and did not believe he could be mistaken.
