After all, he had left a very, very deep impression on Rex. The image etched into Rex's mind was not something he could forget anytime soon. Only the passage of time, wearing everything away, could eventually erase it.

Rex's expression darkened as he looked at Anub'arak. If his memory served him correctly, Anub'arak was already dead. Rex had killed him back then, yet here he was, standing before him once again.

When Rex had killed Anub'arak, he had already been undead.

While alive, Anub'arak had always been an enemy of the Lich King. The Lich King's conquest of Northrend had gone smoothly, meeting little serious resistance. The only one who could truly be called an opponent was Anub'arak. Underground, they had fought the fierce Spider War.

In the end, the Lich King had won, and Anub'arak had died in that war. When Anub'arak rose again, he had been transformed completely from the Lich King's enemy into his most loyal servant.

He had become the Lich King's lackey, no longer resisting or refusing any of his commands.

Having already been resurrected once, Anub'arak should, in theory, have had no chance of returning to life after Rex killed him.

The Burning Legion.

Those words suddenly surfaced in Rex's mind. Resurrecting Anub'arak was beyond the capabilities of the undead. Even the Lich King could not accomplish such a thing. For the Burning Legion, however, it would hardly be difficult. As far as Rex remembered, the Burning Legion had yet to do anything like that.
