Odin awakened Nidhogg, forcing Lu Mingfei into a world-spanning Nibelungen where he could die and retry as he searched for a way to save the world. After defeating a Dead Servant and reuniting with Chen Motong, Finn, and Caesar, Lu Mingfei set out alone across the polar wasteland.

• Frost’s icebreaker entered the crimson sea, where a monstrous mass bearing Maria of the Stars’ face appeared beneath the hull.
• Pompeii Gattuso killed the Elders, revealed himself as Odin, and used Maria’s flesh in a plan tied to Nidhogg’s hatchery.
• Nidhogg rose and destroyed the icebreaker, and Odin fought it with Pingyangzi until they killed the Dragon Emperor.
• Lu Mingfei met Lu Mingze, learned that Nidhogg had united the world’s Nibelungen, and agreed to enter a restartable dungeon to save the world.
• Lu Mingfei repeatedly died exploring Fenrir’s Nibelungen, then used its rules to level up and defeat the Dead Servant He Xiaomeng.
• Lu Mingfei crossed into a polar Nibelungen and reunited with Chen Motong, Finn, and injured Caesar at a research station, healing Caesar with “Do Not Die!”
• After learning that the Principal was critically injured and the Watchman had taken over Kassel College, Lu Mingfei left the group and crossed the snowfield alone.
• Lu Mingfei endured a night in the snow and reached a towering wall of icebergs beneath a brilliant aurora.

Lu Mingfei rescued Erii from the White King, then joined Xia Mi and Fenrir to defeat Naga as the merged Nibelungens drew him toward the Land of Seals. After learning that the Black Dragon Emperor’s awakening would reset the world, Lu Mingfei accepted that he could not reload if he died beyond the gate.

• Lu Mingfei and his companions reached the pyramid, where he fought through the Bird-men to rescue three agents before finding Erii fused inside the White King.
• Lu Mingfei used one of his remaining berserk awakenings to break the amber holding Erii, but she withered away after he freed her, and Lu Mingze said Causal Separation might be needed to save her.
• Caesar learned that Pompeii was his father before Pompeii died, while Lu Mingfei encountered Naga at her altar and repeatedly failed to defeat her.
• Lu Mingfei recruited Xia Mi and Fenrir to fight Naga, who revealed that she remembered his reloads and wanted to break the cycle of illusory worlds.
• Xia Mi merged with Fenrir and overpowered Naga, pinning her down despite her use of God's Blood and her full dragon form.
• Lu Mingfei followed an ancient summons through a crimson forest and reached a colossal gate, where Amon explained that he and He Xiaomeng had bribed Naga with a PSP game console to pass.
• Lu Mingfei opened the gate with his blood and saw visions of repeating world history, including the coming return to Zero when the Black Dragon Emperor awakened.
• Lu Mingze warned that the Land of Seals lay beyond save-loading and that Lu Mingfei would die if he failed, and Lu Mingfei accepted the risk.
