Ch. 1Worm of Time

After dying in a truck accident, Amon transmigrated into a twelve-year-old Soul Master in Douluo Continent, carrying memories of his brief arrival on the Lord of the Mysteries battlefield. He discovered that the boy had likely been poisoned, and found Old Quinn breaking into the house while Amon was too weak to confront him safely.

  • Amon recalled how his first transmigration placed him in the middle of the Evernight Goddess and Dual-God Amon's battle, where Mysterious Amon's attack killed him almost immediately.
  • Amon examined the new body's memories and learned that its Green Worm martial soul had mutated into a Worm of Time with Worm of Stars traits, while its first Spirit Ring granted stealth and bodily control abilities.
  • Amon realized the original owner had died after drinking poisoned water and suspected that someone had entered the house to steal his savings.
  • Amon saw Old Quinn creeping through the house with a long-handled fork and concluded that the elderly Soul Scholar had poisoned the original owner for his gold coins.
  • Amon remained hidden on the staircase, weak and low on Soul Power, while Old Quinn searched below.

Ch. 2Frostleaf City

After killing Old Quinn, Amon left Grace Village for Frostleaf City, where he secured a teaching assistant position at Icewind Primary Soul Master Academy. As evening approached, he realized the red-haired child who had bumped into him had stolen his Gold Soul Coins.

  • Amon fought Old Quinn on the stairs, confirmed the old man would not drink the water, and killed him.
  • Amon met Dimitri at the village entrance and traveled with him to Frostleaf City.
  • Dimitri told Amon that Icewind Primary Soul Master Academy was recruiting teaching assistants, and Amon headed there.
  • A red-haired child collided with Amon on the street and hurried away.

  • Amon realized the red-haired child had pickpocketed his Gold Soul Coins.

Ch. 3The Martial Soul's Abilities

Amon explored his Worm of Time Martial Soul’s division ability, then began teaching close-quarters combat at Icewind Primary Soul Master Academy. His first lesson ended with him recognizing Yan Jin, the red-haired girl he had encountered before.

  • Amon tested his Worm of Time Martial Soul and discovered that dividing it created independently cultivating clones at the cost of soul power and temporary weakening.
  • Amon met grade director Lu Wencong, who asked him to teach a combat lesson to the second-years as a trial for a possible specialized course.
  • Amon introduced close-quarters combat to the students, many of whom doubted its value until their classmates pointed to Yan Jin’s fighting ability.
  • The class singled out Yan Jin to volunteer for practice, and Amon recognized her as the girl he had met earlier.

Ch. 4This Student, You Wouldn't Want To...

Amon recognized Yan Jin as the thief who had stolen his wallet and challenged her to a fight during class. After defeating her, he took charge of the students’ training and left Yan Jin running laps with the rest of the class.

  • Amon recognized Yan Jin and agreed to settle things with a fight in front of the students.
  • Yan Jin attacked using Soul Power, but Amon blocked her moves and defeated her with a controlled counterattack.
  • Lu Wencong praised Amon’s combat skills and left him to teach the class.
  • The students crowded around Amon, and Yan Jin restrained a boy who said he wanted to beat her up.
  • Amon ordered the students to run ten laps, and Yan Jin quickly finished ahead of the others.
  • When a student complained about the laps, Amon pointed to Yan Jin as proof that the exercise was manageable.

Ch. 5A Thief Steals What Another Thief Stole

Amon caught Yan Jin stealing and tested her magma Martial Soul, prompting her to ask him to teach her pickpocketing. After learning why her talent had gone untended and hearing about Spirit Hall’s leadership, Amon realized the story was still at its beginning.

  • Amon confronted Yan Jin over a money pouch he had stolen from her, and she attacked him with her magma Martial Soul.
  • Amon protected his hand with a Spirit Bone ability and grasped the magma, astonishing Yan Jin, who then asked him to take her as a disciple and teach her how to steal.
  • Yan Jin introduced herself as a Level 9 Soul Warrior with Level 8 Innate Soul Power and explained that she had to remain in Frostleaf City.
  • Amon returned most of Yan Jin’s money and told her he would verify a few things before deciding whether to take her as his disciple.
  • Amon asked Lu Wencong about Yan Jin and learned she had rejected an important Spirit Hall figure, fallen into trouble, and lost the chance to receive a mentor.
  • Lu Wencong told Amon that Bibi Dong had become Pope six years earlier, and Amon thought that Tang San would be about six years old.

Ch. 6Invitation

Amon visited Yan Jin and invited her to train with him for the Elite Tournament of Advanced Soul Master Academies. Yan Jin accepted his offer, which included helping her care for her younger siblings while they remained in Frostleaf City.

  • Amon collected his custom black robes and considered how to earn more money.
  • Amon traveled to Frostleaf City's poorest district and paid a local man to guide him to Yan Jin's home.

  • Amon visited Ma Wen and proposed that she invest in him and Yan Jin for their future tournament success.
  • Ma Wen explained that Yan Jin’s refusal of a Soul Douluo’s recruitment made others wary of supporting her.
  • Amon proposed using the Ice Thorn Chamber of Commerce’s investment to fund their studies and Spirit Rings while Ma Wen cared for Yan Jin’s siblings.
  • Amon offered promotional value by having Yan Jin wear the chamber of commerce’s clothing and designs.
  • Ma Wen agreed to the investment and asked Amon to bring Yan Jin to meet her that night without telling anyone else.

Ch. 8Clone

After Amon secured a house and protection for Yan Jin and her siblings through a deal with Ma Wen, he explored how to use his Worm of Time Martial Soul to create avatars. He left his Main Body to cultivate while four avatars studied, intent on becoming a god before Tang San.

  • Ma Wen paid Amon five hundred Gold Soul Coins and lent him a house beside Icewind Primary Soul Master Academy; Yan Jin brought Lei Yin and the others there.
  • Yan Jin reassured Lei Yin that her future work for Ma Wen might become cooperation, and she gave her siblings Ice Thorn Chamber of Commerce uniforms for protection.

  • Amon created four half-level avatars, then had them study with borrowed books while his Main Body cultivated.

Ch. 9Amons

  • Amon and his avatars discussed whether Slimes could provide a suitable Spirit Ring, then set aside the idea because they could not grow stronger by merging.
  • Yan Jin told Lei Yin and the other children that she and Amon had accepted Ma Wen’s investment, requiring her to attend an advanced soul master academy and compete in the Pan-Continental Elite Tournament of Advanced Soul Master Academies.
  • Yan Jin explained that she would leave Frostleaf City in five years and urged the children to become independent before she returned after the tournament.
  • Lei Yin questioned whether Ma Wen could be trusted, and Yan Jin reassured him before cheering the children by announcing they could go shopping the next day.
  • Ma Wen’s two men watched Yan Jin’s house for signs that Amon would flee, while Walsh concealed his greed for the investment money.

Ch. 10Self-Created Soul Skill

Amon coached Yan Jin in controlling her magma Martial Soul and demonstrated his Self-Created Soul Skill, Air Bullet, while his Main Body continued cultivating. Shi Guantao questioned Amon about his ties to Ma Wen, then offered him a recommendation to Northland Advanced Soul Master Academy if he reached level twenty before turning eighteen.

  • Yan Jin struggled to launch her magma, and Amon demonstrated Air Bullet to show how precise Soul Power control could produce a fast ranged attack.
  • Yan Jin asked Amon to teach her Air Bullet, but she could not compress air with Soul Power, so Amon urged her to keep practicing with the simpler Magma Shot.
  • Amon continued teaching through a Time Clone while his Main Body cultivated and his other clones studied at Ma Wen's house.
  • Lu Wencong told Amon that Shi Guantao wanted to see him, and Shi asked whether he had moved out of the academy.
  • Amon explained that Ma Wen had lent him a property and invested in him in exchange for possible future cooperation, while he remained focused on reaching the Elite Tournament.
  • Shi Guantao warned Amon not to bring outside trouble into the academy and promised him a recommendation to Northland Advanced Soul Master Academy if he reached level twenty before turning eighteen.

Ch. 11Choosing the First Spirit Ring

After Yan Jin reached level ten, Amon explained why she should seek a fire-attributed Slime for her first Spirit Ring so its abilities could help her control her magma. Ma Wen agreed to search for one, leaving Yan Jin to wait for a suitable target to be found.

  • Yan Jin rushed in to tell Amon she had reached level ten and could hunt for her first Spirit Ring.
  • Amon recommended a Slime and explained his theory that a Soul Master's martial soul, the Soul Beast species, and the Soul Master's desire could shape the resulting soul skill.
  • Amon told Yan Jin that a mutated fire-attributed Slime might grant her the form control she needed to direct her magma.
  • Amon asked Ma Wen to find a suitable fire-attributed Slime, and she agreed despite recommending other Soul Beasts.

Ch. 12Xilin Mountain Range

After Ma Wen arranged for Glen to accompany Amon and Yan Jin, the group traveled from Frostleaf City to a market at the foot of the Xilin Mountain Range to seek Yan Jin’s first Spirit Ring. They planned to enter the mountains the next day, while Amon relied on his distant clones as a safeguard against danger.

  • Amon warned Yan Jin against promising to feast after returning from a dangerous journey, but she and the other children celebrated her upcoming trip with a big meal.
  • At Frostleaf City’s gate, Amon and Yan Jin met Glen, a Level 32 agility-attack Soul Elder and assassin working for Ma Wen.
  • Glen led them across the Frostleaf Plain to a mountain market and explained that ordinary people could hunt in the outer regions, where Soul Beasts were mostly weak.
  • Glen declined an offer to join another hunting party and said they would enter the mountains the next day to find a fire-attribute Slime for Yan Jin’s Spirit Ring.

  • Glen recognized Amon and Yan Jin's exceptional combat strength, then urged them not to kill Soul Beasts unless necessary.

Ch. 14Flame Slime

Amon, Yan Jin, and Glen found the outcast Flame Slime, whose powerful attack revealed it was far older than Yan Jin could normally absorb for her first Spirit Ring. Amon offered to help her bear the energy through his Martial Soul, and after Yan Jin agreed, Glen weakened the Flame Slime so she could kill it and begin absorbing its Spirit Ring.

  • Amon and his companions reached the mountain lake and spotted the isolated Flame Slime following a Slime colony.
  • The Flame Slime attacked the group with a fire pillar that reached more than twenty meters, leading Amon to estimate its age at eight or nine hundred years.
  • Amon told Yan Jin that his Martial Soul could share some of the Spirit Ring's energy, and Yan Jin agreed to risk absorbing it despite the danger.
  • Glen used his Shadow Leopard Martial Soul and second Spirit Ring to wound the slow Flame Slime until it began to weaken.
  • Yan Jin killed the Flame Slime, and a bright yellow Spirit Ring formed above its remains as she summoned her Martial Soul and prepared to absorb it.

Ch. 15Soul Ring Beyond Its Limit

  • Amon praised Yan Jin after her victory, and she quickly calmed down when his gesture reminded her of their earlier fight.

Ch. 18The Sound of Thunder

Amon conducted Martial Soul Awakening ceremonies for Yan Jin’s younger siblings, Mo Lei and Lei Yin, discovering that Mo Lei had too little Soul Power to become a Soul Master while Lei Yin had a Lightning Martial Soul and level-seven Innate Soul Power. Lei Yin chose to stay home, where Amon would teach him, and Amon told Yan Jin they should wait before asking Ma Wen to invest in him.

  • Yan Jin asked Amon to awaken Lei Yin and Mo Lei’s Martial Souls, and Amon agreed after learning the ceremony from books.
  • Mo Lei awakened a crystal-ball Tool Martial Soul, but the testing crystal showed that her Soul Power was too low to detect.
  • Lei Yin awakened a Lightning Martial Soul and tested at level-seven Innate Soul Power.
  • Lei Yin asked to stay home to help Mo Lei, and Amon agreed to teach him basic Soul Master knowledge.
  • Amon explained that Lei Yin should first train his Soul Power control, then declined Yan Jin’s suggestion to ask Ma Wen to invest in him yet.
