Amid a sea of chaos, as if in a dream, a flower bloomed serenely, so beautiful and noble that it seemed to have no place in the mortal world. An elf king came into being, like a radiant pearl nurtured within that flower.
Within the bud, a mass of platinum light slowly coalesced, like a brilliant pearl.
Countless glimmering stars surrounded it, dancing lightly like a band of merry sprites. They lent the already majestic flower an even greater sanctity, as though it were a sacred relic descended from heaven.
As the petals slowly unfurled like dancers, the figure within gradually took shape like gathering mist. His long, silvery-white hair cascaded down like a waterfall, and his splendid white robes, embroidered with silver thread, shone as brightly as moonlight with a luxurious luster.
Six wings, symbols of his status as an elf king, glittered as dazzlingly as diamonds and fluttered gently behind him, as if displaying his extraordinary standing and power.
A platinum marking adorned his forehead, lending him an air of cool detachment. His skin was as fair as the finest mutton-fat jade, his body's contours smooth, his lips lightly pressed together. His features were so exquisite that even a digital model could not capture such breathtaking beauty. His eyes were a beautiful platinum shade, occasionally flashing dark red, though those flashes went unnoticed.
He had two forms: one was naturally his elf king form, and the other was his nine-tailed fox form. (There is no need to elaborate here; that will be revealed later. Once again, the protagonist walks the line between good and evil and is not necessarily a good person.) This elf king was our bottom protagonist, Sen Lijiu. Having just awakened, he stretched slightly, loosened up his body, and began observing his surroundings:
"This Source Condensation feels... somehow different."
Source Condensation was shorthand for taking the fallen primordial spirit as the foundation and shaping its source into form.
It meant that the scattered fragments of the primordial spirit gathered together and, after undergoing "trials," took form once more. This was why the nine-tailed fox clan flourished: with every Source Condensation, their strength surged by anywhere from one to five levels, and their bloodline underwent a transformation, becoming purer or even advancing!
"Why did this Source Condensation give me an extra pair of wings?" Still, he did not dwell on it. After all, when members of his clan underwent Source Condensation while unconscious, they automatically assumed a form normal to their surroundings.
He tried flapping his six wings and flying around. A moment later, he stared at the two completely different worlds on either side and sank into thought. Wh-which side should I go to? This is such a tough choice ˃ʍ˂. Oh, whatever. I'll close my eyes and pick at random. Then... he arrived in a beautiful place filled with warmth. Sen Lijiu moved quickly, and before long, he encountered quite a few flower fairies and flower elves.
As a nine-tailed fox—and one of the finest among them—he was naturally very attractive. And so... quite a few people approached him to strike up a conversation. Surrounded by these ardent female flower fairies, he could only feel his temples throbbing. After shaking off the enthusiastic crowd with a rather poor excuse, he let out a sigh of relief. Before he could rest much longer, he sensed three more people flying toward him. (ᇂ_ᇂ|||) Seriously? More?
As he wondered, the three figures came into view: two women and a man. The man had blue hair, wore an eye patch, and had elven antennae on his head. His ears were pointed, and a pair of large purple butterfly wings spread behind him. He held a blue staff and wore a blue coat tinged with purple, his expression impassive.
The woman in the lead had a pair of beautiful, transparent blue wings that resembled lovely blue crystals, and her eyes were equally clear and lustrous. Her smooth golden hair fell to her waist, and her exquisite white dress made her look even more sacred. The star-shaped mark on her forehead softened her face, and she wore a flower wreath on her head. She was as radiant and beautiful as a goddess—and, in fact, that was precisely what she was.
On her other side was another blonde woman. She wore a dress hat and was also a flower fairy with purple wings. Her dress was short, its predominantly purple and green colors giving her a distinctively fresh appearance. She, too, had small elven antennae.
They now stood before Sen Lijiu. He was not curious about why they were there, but unfortunately, they happened to be blocking the forest, right in his path, and showed no intention of moving aside. That made him very uncomfortable. He certainly did not believe there could be so many coincidences in this world, but out of courtesy, he still spoke. "Who are you? Could you move aside, if you don't mind?" The three opposite him did not answer, nor did they make way.
ヾ(.｀Д´.)ノ彡 What's wrong with them? They won't move, and they won't answer me either. (╯' - ')╯︵ ┻━┻ Seeing that they neither replied nor showed any goodwill, Sen Lijiu conjured a ball of light in his hand and hurled it at them. The ball was not particularly large, yet they sensed danger from it. Not a blade of grass survived in its wake. It flew so fast that it reached them in the blink of an eye.
The woman on the left could only summon her guardian elf to resist it together, but both she and the elf were sent flying. Worse still, she spat out a great mouthful of blood upon landing. The woman in the lead fared little better, a trickle of blood seeping from the corner of her mouth.
"Goddess, are you all right?" The blue-haired man farther away had been outside the attack's range, but its residual force had still thrown him some distance.
