"Let's go."
Qi Ning called Chen Miao out of the surveillance room.
The five of them headed outside. Chen Miao had intended to get his own car, but Ding Min stopped him.
"Ride with me."
Ding Min was one of Qi Ning's three colleagues, and the only female Investigator among them.
The other two were Jiang Hong and Wen Yong.
At her words, Jiang Hong teased her with a grin. "Ding Min, going after a younger man, are you?"
Ding Min ignored Jiang Hong and asked Chen Miao, "Has the other party seen your car before?"
Chen Miao immediately understood.
"Then I'll ride with you, Ding Min."
Only then did Ding Min turn to Jiang Hong, wearing a faint, ambiguous smile. "I remember you asked me to set you up with someone. Who was it again? Tsk, I seem to have forgotten."
Jiang Hong's expression changed. He immediately put on a smile, ready to apologize, but Ding Min gave him no chance and got straight into her car.
He couldn't even pull the door open.
"Come on, stop wasting time. She's just a woman."
Wen Yong urged him along.
Jiang Hong turned to look at Wen Yong's bald head and laughed in exasperation.
"Just a woman? Like you have one!"
"Hah, women only slow down my push-ups!"
Qi Ning couldn't take it anymore.
"All of you, get in the cars!"
Half an hour later, the five of them arrived at their destination.
During the drive, Qi Ning had called Chen Miao to explain the plan.
With Chen Miao joining them, he would need to act first once the operation began. They would move in after his methods took effect, to prevent any unexpected trouble.
