Once all five Flying Skulls had gathered, Suo Kun uttered a strange syllable.
On the Eighth Floor, four figures that had remained motionless woodenly began walking downstairs.
Meanwhile, just as Suo Kun was about to descend the stairs, his ears suddenly twitched.
He turned toward the room at the far end of this floor, his brow furrowing slightly.
At his movement, two of the five Flying Skulls beside him flew toward the room where the sound had come from.
After the two Flying Skulls entered the room, Suo Kun sensed no warning signals from them.
Although the sound continued, Suo Kun paid it no further attention.
He immediately headed downstairs.
But after just two steps, he turned around and returned to the Seventh Floor.
Once again, he looked toward the room at the far end.
Those two Flying Skulls had not returned.
Not only had they failed to return, but Suo Kun even sensed a hint of pleasure in the emotions transmitted by those two Flying Skulls.
Suo Kun tried summoning the two Flying Skulls back, but more than ten seconds passed without any response.
He waved his hand, sending all three remaining Flying Skulls out. Just then, four more heads arrived, taking over guard duty around him.
