The instant that piece left his body, Chen Miao brought it under control with the Soul-Splitting Paper Knife and approached the Soul Shrine.
As the soul fragment drew close to the Soul Shrine, Chen Miao sensed the peculiar attraction Old Ghost had described through the fragment in his hand.
The instant the soul fragment touched the Soul Shrine, the shrine absorbed it.
Feeling the comfort transmitted from the Split Soul, Chen Miao immediately closed his eyes and directed his consciousness toward it.
When his consciousness connected with the Split Soul, the first thing Chen Miao felt was warmth!
A warm, enveloping sensation coming from every part of his soul!
In reality, however, the Soul Shrine had no temperature at all.
Once that initial sensation passed, Chen Miao tried activating the yin absorption state through this Split Soul.
When yin energy began to gather, Chen Miao smiled.
Aside from being unable to move freely like the Mirage Shadow Doppelganger, his Split Soul inside the Soul Shrine worked almost exactly the same way. It could activate all those states belonging to his main body!
"If that's the case, my Five Prisons Common-Faced God Shrine doesn't need any other ghosts' soul bodies at all. As long as my Split Soul remains inside, the Soul Shrine can handle even a malevolent fiend!"
