After visiting Seimei Shrine, Chen Miao went to Kifune Shrine and Kiyotaki Tunnel that same day.

Kifune Shrine stood in the mountains, with lovely scenery and plenty of visitors.

Its three sites-the Main Shrine, Middle Shrine, and Inner Shrine-each had different conditions, and many businesses had sprung up around them in the mountains.

But having learned his lesson at Seimei Shrine, Chen Miao refrained from using [Status: Qi Observation] at Kifune Shrine. He did, however, use Yin Control quite frequently.

While sensing his surroundings with Yin Control, Chen Miao discovered some anomalies.

Paths lined with vermilion lanterns connected the Main Shrine, Middle Shrine, and Inner Shrine.

The lanterns stood along both sides of the paths, seemingly for decoration and lighting, yet Chen Miao sensed fluctuations of yin energy in every single one!

Moreover, that yin energy ran down the wooden posts supporting the lanterns and continued underground.

Chen Miao had wanted to investigate further, but once his yin energy reached two meters underground, it could go no deeper.

This was much like what had happened at Seimei Shrine. In all likelihood, it was another barrier!

When Chen Miao reached the Inner Shrine at the farthest end, he discovered one of Kifune Shrine's secrets.

One of the Inner Shrine's advertised attractions was a "Dragon Vein," said to be the dragon god's dwelling beneath its main hall.

But the main hall blocked the entrance, so visitors could only worship and pray in front of it.

When Chen Miao extended his yin energy inside, he did indeed find a cave sloping downward beneath the main hall. However, he was blocked just one meter past its entrance.

Chen Miao used the Mystic Mirror to investigate, but even at the farthest point it could reach, he still could not see the end of the cave.
