It was six in the morning, and dawn had just broken.
Koizumi Shinichi opened the door of the Folklore Club's off-campus house on the outskirts of town, looking a little exhausted, and let Kyoko Kuroda inside.
Although Koizumi Shinichi had also been awake all night, he still poured Kyoko Kuroda a cup of hot tea.
Only then did Koizumi Shinichi ask for the details.
Kyoko Kuroda gave him a rough account of what had happened that night.
"Is Koji at the hospital now?"

Before she could react, the burly man charging toward her had been thrown to the ground.
Then the other man had been subdued as well.
Kyoko Kuroda compared Chen Miao with the club's muscleman, Takumi Suzuki. Takumi Suzuki could probably have handled those two men too, but certainly not as swiftly and cleanly as Chen Miao.
"That's good. Now our club has two fighters. We won't have to keep dragging Takumi along every time we do something."
Koizumi Shinichi smiled as he spoke.
Then he continued, "So this time, there wasn't actually an urban legend at all, just some dirty rivalry between
