Shen Xi's words sent a shudder through everyone's hearts.

A little over ten minutes later, they had dug a grave just over a meter deep, its length and width barely enough to fit a corpse.
They then lowered the corpse into the pit.
But their mood was no longer quite what it had been before they arrived.
Before coming here, they had still believed that burying her would complete the mission and let everyone return. Now, none of them knew whether that hope would come true.
Still, apart from Wu Feng, the other five clung to a sliver of hope.

With that hope in mind, they buried the corpse.
Five minutes passed. Nothing happened.
Unwilling to give up, Sun Run pulled a plank off the bed board nearby, carved "Lin Xiurou's grave" into it, and planted it at the head of the grave.
But another ten minutes or so passed, and it still had no effect.
Looking puzzled, Wu Feng asked, "Are you all waiting for something?"
Amid the silence, only Shen Xi shook her head.

Luo Sheng's thoughts were in turmoil. For the moment, he too turned to Wu Feng, the Yin-Yang Practitioner he had always considered a fraud.
