Kong Tian remained expressionless as he casually tucked the booklet into his robes.
Jiang Wei paused, then stopped walking.
"I'll leave the flatbreads here for you. If you need anything later and can't find me, you can also go to Shadow Cave and ask the other Grave Keepers to pass a message along."
With that, Jiang Wei made to leave again.
"Brother Jiang, wait."
After putting away the Paper Effigy, Kong Yue called out to stop Jiang Wei.
"Did you need something, Junior Banner Officer?"
Kong Yue nodded, then said, "Brother Jiang, we've looked around, but we haven't found the Lord of a Thousand Howls in Ghost Cry Gorge. Isn't it here?"
Jiang Wei smiled at her question.
Turning around, he stroked the black dog's head and said, "The Lord of a Thousand Howls is in Ghost Cry Gorge."
"Then why haven't we seen it?"
It was Kong Tian who spoke.
"You've actually already seen it."
Even Chen Miao was surprised by that statement.
"We've seen it? Where?"
"Please follow me."
Jiang Wei turned and left the rest area, with the three following close behind.
Once outside, Jiang Wei pointed at the cliff walls on either side of Ghost Cry Gorge. "Actually, Ghost Cry Gorge itself is the Lord of a Thousand Howls."
"What!?"
Not just Kong Tian-even Kong Yue and Chen Miao looked stunned.
"How is that possible? Ghost Cry Gorge is a gorge. How could it be a Blood Fiend?"
Kong Tian looked incredulous, but Jiang Wei stood by his explanation.
"Ghost Cry Gorge really is the Lord of a Thousand Howls. I have my doubts about it too, actually, but that's what the senior who showed me around told me when I first came here."
Jiang Wei looked at the cliff walls on
