Tang Sanzang looked up and saw what seemed to be a Treasure Pagoda in the distance, glittering in the darkness.
"Little White Dragon, wonderful! Signs of people at last. We won't have to brave the wind and sleep under the stars tonight."
The sight filled Tang Sanzang with delight. His spirits lifted, and he felt a little encouraged.
"Neigh, neigh."
The White Dragon Horse answered him, keeping Tang Sanzang from feeling lonely.
"Let's go, Little White Dragon."
Tang Sanzang promptly mounted the white horse and followed the forest path, making briskly for the glowing White Pagoda.
After traveling for nearly an hour, he reached the White Pagoda. Figures of Bodhisattvas and Buddhas adorned its walls, making it look very much like a Buddhist Pagoda.
"Amitabha Buddha."
Tang Sanzang immediately dismounted and bowed toward the Buddhist Pagoda.
"May I ask if anyone is here? This humble monk has come from Eastern Tang and is traveling to the Western Lands to seek scriptures. I happened upon your sacred temple today and hope its master might grant me a little accommodation."
Tang Sanzang called out, trying to elicit a response.
Yet after he waited a while, no answer came from the Treasure Pagoda.
He called twice more, but there was still no response.
"Could the master of this place be away?"
Tang Sanzang carefully tethered the White Dragon Horse outside, then knocked on the Treasure Pagoda's door with a trace of curiosity and uncertainty.
But the moment he knocked, the door opened.
"He's here, everyone. Tang Sanzang has reached my place. He even delivered himself right to my door."
