In the end, Zhunti, a dignified Saint, had personally intervened, only to have even the Jewel-Wondrous Tree swept away, suffering a humiliating loss of face. Finally, abandoning all concern for a Saint's dignity, Zhunti fought Kong Xuan for many rounds before forcibly subduing him, converting him to the Western Religion and granting him the title of Peacock Wisdom King.
Before the War of the Investiture of the Gods, Eastern Emperor Taiyi had been hailed as invincible beneath the Saints. After that war, however, Kong Xuan was universally acknowledged as the strongest beneath them! As for Daoist Lu Ya, he was the Young Golden Crow among Di Jun's ten sons. Under Nuwa's protection, he had survived the Witch-Demon Calamity, eventually cultivating to the quasi-Saint realm. During the War of the Investiture of the Gods, the only battle Lu Ya had failed to win was his fight against Kong Xuan. Yet although he had not won, he had still escaped unscathed, without having any treasures swept away by Kong Xuan.
Even a veteran quasi-Saint like Daoist Ran Deng had had his treasures swept away by Kong Xuan and been beaten into a headlong retreat, while Lu Ya had escaped unharmed. Considering how long the two had cultivated, Randeng belonged to the same generation as Di Jun and Taiyi, whereas Lu Ya was already of the second generation. Yet he had surpassed Randeng. His talent was plain to see!
And in later ages, after Duobao became the Western Religion's third leader and took the name Dabao Tathagata, he was already a Quasi-Saint Peak powerhouse. Yet Kong Xuan dared to swallow Duobao whole, while Lu Ya even styled himself Great Sun Tathagata. Clearly, neither of them thought much of Duobao. That also indirectly reflected their cultivation—they were probably even stronger than him!
