Hou Qing looked up and saw Demon Emperor Daochen right beside him.
He scratched his head rather blankly. "Just as you said, Lord Demon Emperor, I feel much clearer now. Lord Demon Emperor, I have a presumptuous request."
Daochen looked at him in puzzlement. "Go ahead. Whatever it is, just say it. This is the Primordial World, your homeland too. No one here will restrict your freedom."
Hou Qing nodded slightly. "Honored Lord Demon Emperor, I am deeply grateful that you brought me back to the Primordial World. Without you, I might have been trapped in the Nether Soil for the rest of my life."
"And it is entirely thanks to you that I was spared the baptism of tribulation lightning after returning."
"But, Lord Demon Emperor, I may not be able to follow you outside to clear out those monsters. I still want to visit my old home and see whether my former cave abode is still there."
A look of reminiscence surfaced in his eyes.
He looked just like a child eager to go home.
It could not have been a more normal reaction.
But what sort of man was Demon Emperor Daochen?
He had seen plenty.
After all, this was Hou Qing, the Ancestor of Zombies. Back when he became a zombie, it had been after his death.
His so-called cave abode was nothing more than a tomb. Was there anything worth longing for in a place like that?
That was a question.
Still, Daochen also understood that he was no Ancestor of Zombies, so naturally, he could not know what was going through Hou Qing's mind.
"Very well. Since you intend to venture into the Primordial World, go as soon as you can. But we are planning to clear out the Resentment Ghosts around its outskirts
