Sacred Dragon nodded. "Xue Lier makes a very good point. Ever since entering the Silent Forest, I've clearly felt the thick killing intent here. The Two-Star Worlds in the beginner zone couldn't compare at all. The cruelty here far exceeds anything we imagined."
"Now that we can attach ourselves to the Demon Emperor and gain such high standing, it's only right that we pay a price."
"Besides, once we become council members, we'll at least have a stable environment in which to develop. If we still can't raise our races to prominence under those conditions, we'll have only ourselves to blame."
"We all know that Chief Dragon Demon has great ambitions, but those ambitions need strength to match! Chief Dragon Demon, are you confident you can defeat the Demon Emperor, the Sacred Light race, or the Barbarian Emperor Ancient Clan?"
"Even claiming a territory of your own would do."
Dragon Demon sighed softly. "It's not that I resent this. I simply don't want to live under someone else's roof. If we truly join the council, we'll have to live in the Demon Emperor's shadow from this day forward."
He saw it clearly: given the Demon Emperor's strength, they would never be able to surpass the Primordial World.
Deathfire snorted coldly. "Since Lord Dragon Demon wishes to develop independently, we won't stand in your way. I'm sure the Demon Emperor won't stop you either."
"Lord Dragon Demon, you can simply leave the Silent Forest and develop elsewhere!"
Dragon Demon's expression froze, and he became utterly embarrassed.
His original plan had been to persuade at least a few worlds to leave with him, but now it seemed they were all dead set on following the Demon Emperor.
These fellows had no ambition whatsoever.
Just as Deathfire had said, his ambitions were considerable.
