The Fire Barbarian King glanced furtively at the Demon Emperor. "Your Majesty, are these people being controlled? Are shadow particles controlling them?"
Demon Emperor Daochen shook his head, then nodded. "They aren't being controlled by shadow particles. They've been copied by some kind of parasite beast."
"You can't call it being controlled, because they aren't the originals at all. They're new life-forms created by copying the originals' cells and everything else, then devouring the originals."
"These things are extremely dangerous. They can infiltrate societies of living beings without provoking a backlash from the world. Even the world origin cannot distinguish their identities."
The Fire Barbarian King frowned. "If even the world's Great Dao cannot tell them apart, how are we supposed to identify this threat?"
Demon Emperor Daochen shook his head. "For now, I don't know how to distinguish them either. All I can say is that I can sense the danger they pose and identify them that way, but I have no other means of detecting them."
Demon Emperor Daochen's words left these people somewhat bewildered.
The two Overlords looked at the Demon Emperor in puzzlement. "Does that mean that as long as we get rid of you, we can never be exposed again? That really is good news."
The two Overlords pressed their bodies together. They embraced, and their bodies actually began to fuse.
From their palms and limbs to their torsos, two entirely different people fused together just like that.
Soon, a powerful monster appeared before the Demon Emperor.
Demon Emperor Daochen's expression changed dramatically. "Leave, quickly! This monster's strength is beyond imagination."
As far as the Demon Emperor could sense, this monster had reached at least the strength of an Overlord. It was truly terrifying.
