Qingchan nodded nervously. Their fall had smashed two enormous craters into the ground.
They could already faintly hear shouts all around them. The Demon Emperor fled swiftly, putting the place far behind them.
Even so, the Demon Emperor kept glancing back nervously, as though something was searching for them.

"Father, is there something behind us? Why are you so nervous?"

Qingchan shook her head in bewilderment. "There really is something there? That can't be! Don't scare me!"
Demon Emperor Daochen had no time to answer. Those eerie things were already everywhere, surrounding them on all sides. Qingchan probably could not see them because the Great Void laws had ceased to function here, naturally rendering the Great Void Eye ineffective as well.
