"My Dao is complete?"
Tongtian and Yuanshi watched Laozi walk to the ancestral grounds of the Human Race, sit beneath the Nüwa Statue, and preach the Dao to them.
Both wore utterly baffled expressions.
What do you mean, complete?
If you succeed, won't that only prove that we, Tongtian and Yuanshi, really are fools, just as Daochen said?
As that thought surfaced, Tongtian and Yuanshi immediately felt terrible!
It was one thing for Daochen to call them fools. They could not beat him anyway, so let him talk. Who could blame them when his arm was thicker than theirs?
As long as we refuse to admit it, that's enough.
But if you, Laozi, attain the Dao and become a Sage, won't that prove we're fools?
The thought made both of them feel even worse!!!
That would damn well nail it down!
You're the fool, Daochen!
Yuanshi muttered inwardly.
Smack!
A palm promptly struck the back of Yuanshi's head. His entire body shuddered, and he went flying.
The sight frightened Sect Master Tongtian so badly that his eyelids twitched wildly.
He hurriedly flickered away, instinctively putting distance between himself and Daochen.
This fellow really doesn't follow any rules at all!
He strikes whenever he pleases!
Rumble...
After taking three slaps from Daochen without the slightest warning, Yuanshi's aged face had turned liver-purple with rage. He weakly flew out of the mountainside and stood behind Tongtian, looking at Daochen with aggrieved eyes, not daring to let out so much as a fart.
"Uh..."
Seeing Yuanshi standing behind him, Tongtian's aged face twisted in embarrassment. He lifted a foot and instinctively moved away from Yuanshi.
Barely half a quarter-hour had passed since Daochen appeared, yet Yuanshi had already been struck three times.
Tongtian really feared that he would become a pond fish caught
